"It’s unique … it’s one of two cacao growing plantations in the entire United States that grows and processes the cacao entirely in the U.S. In taste comparisons with other countries, Waialua is the hands-down winner for me. It not only can compete, but I picked it over all others world-wide because of its rich full-bodied flavor, low acid and aroma. I get a lot of ripe berries when I eat the chocolate. Everyone who eats it loves it!"
- Chef Alan Wong, Alan Wong’s Restaurant Hawaii

DARK CHOCOLATE BENEFITS YOUR HEALTH

. . . the effects seen in the group of dark chocolate eaters were significant. Those who ate a bar of chocolate every day had a drop in blood pressure, an increase in blood flow, and were more sensitive to insulin, a hormone that regulates sugar in the body.”

- ABC News July 19, 2005

Dark chocolate is rich in flavonols, which are healthy antioxidants that also are found in fruits, vegetables, green tea, red wine, etc. Flavonoids give dark chocolate a slightly bittersweet taste. They also provide cardiovascular benefits, such as helping to reduce the risk for developing heart disease, stroke, cancer and even premature aging.”
